The event takes place on June 7th in the beautifully resonant St Alkmund’s Church, and opens this year’s Belle Vue Arts Festival, whose theme is ‘Movement’.
`Movement in Sound` promises an extraordinary evening of celestial, exploratory music. The night features:
@tenggerland the pan-Asian, new-age drone psychedelic family band
@seamingto avant-garde multi-instrumentalist and experimental sound explorer brings her family band
@innerkey_ local electronic curator, providing ambient interludes between sets with his signature ‘Clarity of Mind’ sounds
Until the end of April, you can get 4 tickets for the price of 3
You can still get physical tickets at a number of outlets but these will remain full price. With booking fees via Skiddle the physicals remain good value. Outlets now include @housecoffeeco, @condor.shrewsbury and @glougloushrewsbury
We’re also launching some delicious edible merch on the night in collaboration with @_thehungryguy and @shrewsfoodhub and as always, @glouglou_sy1 will be on hand serving drinks before the concert and during the interval.
SY.Gigs runs on a not-for-profit model, ticket pricing is designed to cover artist fees and overheads. Any surplus is shared with the artists and helps make future gigs more affordable for all. This is a community-powered project, supported by sponsorship and love for music that dares to be different.

SY.Gigs is a not-for-profit alternative ‘pop up’ music promotion venture based in Shrewsbury, UK.
The events bring together alternative music in Shrewsbury’s historic churches, creating special experiences. Each location adds its unique character, enhancing the atmosphere and deepening the connection between the audience, the music, and the town’s significant heritage.
Focusing on genres that push the boundaries of the mainstream, we aim to foster a sense of community and support well-being through the shared pleasure of immersive live music. These gatherings are more than concerts, they’re celebrations of creativity, culture, and connection.
